Two New Chapbooks under Elara Press!

I’m super stoked to announce my latest chapbooks, which I’m publishing under the umbrella of Elara Press.

The first is a new chapbook series titled Archives. Each chapbook in this series will feature one of my previously published short stories, which are now unavailable or difficult to get in their original formats. These are all stories that I’m particularly proud of, so I want to get them out to a wider audience. The first four titles in the series are:

#1 – Bill of Sale (originally in That Not Forgotten) – Martin wants to sell the idea to his novel, but has no idea what selling an idea really means.

#2 – A Perfect World (originally in Young Writers on Writing) – What would happen to science fiction writers after peaceful first contact with aliens?

#3 – Derrick (originally in 365tomorrows) – His brother’s next get-rich-quick scheme is to 3D print a bunch of Stradivarius violins.

#4 – Remembrance (originally in On Spec) – A daughter grapples with her father’s addiction to a simulator that helps him cope with his PTSD.

The other chapbook is a standalone titled Word Association with Writers. It contains six poems constructed using responses from SF writers to a series of words – like “author,” “science” and “success.” The final result is, I think, a really interesting glimpse into the thoughts of a writer – I hope you’ll agree!

Both covers were designed by the insanely talented Lana Kamarić, whose other work you can check out here:http://www.lanakamaric.com/

I’ll be selling these chapbooks, plus some older stuff, at two upcoming events: Prose in the Park (June 4) and the Ottawa Small Press Book Fair (June 18). If you don’t think you’ll be able to make those events and would like copies of any of these, feel free to email me at b.crilly.author@gmail.com.
